Cigars in Cuba

Cigars in Cuba

"Cigars in Cuba". This vibrant watercolor painting features a charismatic aged man with a captivating smile. The medium I used for this piece is a combination of watercolor and pencils, which allowed me to capture the essence of the subject in a unique and colorful way.
The inspiration for this artwork came from the rich culture of Cuba and the iconic imagery of locals enjoying their cigars. I wanted to depict the warmth and character of the people in this beautiful country, and I think I've achieved that in this piece.
One of the unique elements of creating "Cigars in Cuba" was the abstract background. I used a mix of purples and yellows with streaks to create a worn texture, adding depth and ambiance to the painting. The flow and bleed of colors typical of watercolor techniques also helped in creating a rich, warm tone that enhances the overall look and feel of the artwork.
I hope you all enjoy "Cigars in Cuba" as much as I enjoyed creating it.
