*My Work*, is a vibrant exploration of identity and influence presented through a large, colorful grid composed of tightly framed portraits. Each square in the grid highlights a distinct face drawn from a wide spectrum of history and culture—ranging from iconic figures to celebrities and cultural personalities. The variety in style across these portraits—some rendered with the crisp, graphic energy of pop art, others with richer, more painterly detail—is unified by a consistent use of bold colors and striking contrasts. The result is a mosaic that both celebrates individuality and invites reflection on how these figures collectively shape our cultural landscape.
In *My Work*, the attention is on the faces: their expressions, distinct features, and subtle differences in gesture or attire. By focusing closely on such intimate details and presenting them in a structured, grid format, I aim to create a dialogue between the familiarity of individual faces and the broader patterns that emerge when they are viewed together. The vibrant palette and sharp contrasts make each portrait stand out on its own, while the overall composition emphasizes connection and diversity.
While this piece grew naturally from my ongoing interest in how we recognize and remember public figures, the grid format allowed me to experiment with scale and rhythm in a new way. The process involved balancing visual variety with cohesion—maintaining a dynamic energy through alternating artistic approaches, yet achieving a unified whole that feels deliberate and thoughtful. Working on this piece challenged me to consider how different styles and figures interact side by side, encouraging viewers to engage with each portrait individually as well as part of a larger narrative.
*My Work* is an invitation to consider the layers of meaning embedded in public images and the ongoing dialogue between past and present. It reflects on how recognition functions—not just in terms of fame or notoriety but as a shared cultural vocabulary. Through this mosaic of faces, I hope to offer a space for viewers to explore connections, appreciate diversity, and reflect on the complex ways that influential figures continue to shape our understanding of identity and legacy.
